Inspiration

Matsuri are traditional Japanese festivals and each of them has a long history and has rooted with its local community. Most festivals are held annually in a rice farming seasons to celebrate the local shrine’s deities (kami, 神様).

An important element of festivals are processions, in which the deity is carried through the town in palanquins. This song dedicate to this procession. Although palanquins are temporary vehicle for the deity, we can feel the deity is very pleased with having a short trip outside from shrine.
